Michael TodiscoMargaret Kadlick has been my cycling coach for the last 3 years. I would like to offer the following endorsements: Margaret is a fantastic coach because her interpersonal skills are exceptional. I am not an easy guy to motivate. Some how, some way she finds a way to get me going even when training is the furthest thing from my mind. When I first started I did not have a plan, I was just hacking around trying to race but not understanding how to prepare or be competitive. So without much success I was quickly falling away from the racing scene. Margaret saw what was happening and took me under her wing. Soon I was placing and wining the local Sunday crit races at Wells Ave. in my category. In most of my cat 5 races I was in the top 20 and it did not take me long to upgrade. Margaret has a very focused and complete program for cyclists including; off season training, nutrition, overall health and well being. I find her approach very natural and highly tuned to my personal physiology. When my results are less than optimal she will adjust and tweak my training to get me back on line. There are so many things that can influence our performance; Margaret always digs in to find out what’s going on. Her interest and passion for cycling has kept me going even during difficult times. She believes I have the potential to succeed even when I don’t. This part of my training is not written down or quantifiable but it is what I need from my coach besides all the workouts, intervals, race preparation etc. I feel her commitment to me is not fabricated or contrived, it is real. That is way I am proud and honored to call her my Coach. There are many ways to train and get results but there few coaches that can understand the individual as an individual and extract from them their full potential. Margaret Kadlick is one of those coaches. We all can read training books and talk to our seasoned club racers but that does not guarantee we will get results. Without a personal coach you can be easily mislead, unintentionally. Margaret is objective, sensitive, intelligent, well read and trained in the physiology and psychology of cycling. You will be impressed, I was and still am. Michael Todisco |
