After training with power and using the CyclingPeaks software for a year on my own I decided to take my training a step further and get officially coached by the Peaks Group for the 2005 season. This turned out to be the best decision I have ever made for my training and performance. The energy, motivation, and knowledge of training and racing that Hunter brings to the table helped me improve my performance exponentially. I feel like we haven't wasted one moment this winter. Hunter helped me push through psychological and physiological barriers to let me know what was truly possible.

   Before getting coached I thought I trained fairly hard and was fairly organized. I was wrong. Working with Hunter has allowed me to understand what hard training and hard resting is all about. The results have been phenomenal. For example, in a 57 mile (2 Hour) breakaway in my last Cat 1,2,3 race I had an average wattage equal to my 20 minute test when we started in November. I started this 2005 season in March as a Cat 3 and now (by April) already have enough USCF points to upgrade. Finishing off the front of the 1,2,3's with my power tap convinced me to sell the ZIPP 303's and keep the coach; wheels don't make you faster the right coach does.
